|Dr. Iobst received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Medical University of South Carolina followed by a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at The Children’s Hospital in Boston (Harvard). He specializes in the correction of limb deformities and limb length discrepancies.
In April of 2007 Dr. Iobst was the recipient of the 2007 St. Giles Young Investigator Award by the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America.
In 2010 Dr. Iobst was chosen as the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America Travelling Fellow to Europe. Dr. Iobst has been the chairman of the LLRS Specialty Day Meeting at the American Academy of Orthapedic Surgeons in 2011 and 2012. He is currently the secretary of the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society of North America. Dr. Iobst has also trained in limb reconstruction with external fixation, external and internal combination fixation techniques and the all-internal lengthening devices.

Liu, MD, Raymond W.
|Raymond Liu graduated summa cum laude at the University of California, San Diego in premedical bioengineering before completing medical school at Johns Hopkins University. He trained in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University and then further specialized with a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, and a mini-fellowship in limb deformity at the Paley Advanced Limb Lengthening Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Dr. Liu has received multiple research awards including the Best Basic Science Paper Award by the European Pediatric Orthopaedic Society in 2011, and Best Paper Awards from the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society in 2012 and 2013. He has also been named the Outstanding Educator of the Year by the Case Western Reserve University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2012 and 2014.
Dr. Liu treats all pediatric orthopaedic conditions with a specialization in limb deformity of the upper and lower extremities and complex hip disorders.
McCarthy, MD, James J
|James McCarthy, MD, is the past president of the LLRS and Director of Orthopaedics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as well as co-director of the Limb restoration program.
He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and Pediatric Orthopaedic fellowship at Colorado Children’s Hospital. He is board Certified, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as several other professional societies.
Dr. McCarthy’s research interests include the treatment of pediatric hip disorders; complex limb and spine deformities; and gait analysis.
